Preventing measles

Make sure all immunisations are up to date as the safest way to stay protected.

• MMR vaccination is the only way to prevent measles.
• Everyone needs two doses, recommended to be given at 12 months old and at 3 years 4 months old.
• The vaccine is free for everyone and you are never too old to have the vaccine.
• If you or your child are unimmunised or have missed a dose, visit your GP or an immunisation clinic to catch up.
